Biography
Betty Thompson’s paintings have been exhibited in several
group exhibitions in galleries and art shows in Northern California.
Ms. Thompson is the recipient of several awards and honors.
Betty is predominantly a self-taught artist who has been painting part
time for over ten years. She has completed a number of art classes at
community college. In addition she has studied with several well known
artists including Catherine Anderson, Jim Kosvanec, Chen Khee Chee,
Judy Greenberg and Beverly Fields.
“The underlying principle that guides my work is to share with
the viewer my emotional response to nature and man’s place in
it.”
Betty Thompson was born in Southern California in 1949. She is a graduate
from U.C. Davis in Renewable Natural Resources and is a long time resident
of the Sacramento area. |
