Artists Statement:
A depression baby, raised and educated in the
Midwest, Ted Sanders attended the Chicago Art Institute after winning
national and regional awards. After joining the U.S. Air Force during
the Korean Conflict, Ted worked a a graphic artist. While on active
duty he created a long-running cartoon strip for the base newspaper.
During his military career Ted earned his AA, BA, and MS degrees.
After retiring from the military, Ted started a career as a public school administrator
and teacher. Retired from school administration, Ted is currently on the faculty
of National University. He also keeps busy as a Catholic choral singer and band
drum player.Ted's continuing music and art studies are helping him develop
skills to communicate
with even more creativity and inventiveness.
Primarily a figurative artist, Ted works with a variety of subjects, media,
and styles and takes commissions. He has won awards for his work and has had
several exhibitions. |
